The samples selected for the study are higher secondary school students from different schools in Pondicherry. The objective of the study is to find out the level of problem solving ability and their learning style of higher secondary school students. The findings of the study revealed that the most preferred learning style is Assimilator followed by Accommodator, Diverger and Converger. People who have learned effective problem solving techniques are able to solve problems and higher levels of complicity than more intelligence people who have no such training. The tool used to collect data is Problem solving ability test standardized by L. Simple problems can well be solved by instinctive and habitual behaviors. The sample of the study consisted of high schools students of grade 10th.
